Speaking of starts, did we ever figure out when its ok to pass (down in the field)? On the green flag, or must wait until passed start finish line?

There are no PRL rules regarding starts. Restarts yes but no text on the rolling start. Iracing has start rules. But as I have tried to get others to agree on a start procedure it seems to fall on deaf ears. Go on green and have at it. I like to keep it tight and let us get rolling till after the start line but there is no rule.

We use iRacing’s rules. Go on green use your head not to get black flag before start/Finnish line. Simple as that. If you do a dumb move and get a black flag, it won’t be cleared

If there is no specific PRL rules about rolling start, it means that game rules are applied. In this case, it means we need to go by iRacing rules. If you overtake the car in front of you before the start/finish line, you'll get a black flag and it will not be removed.

further review of iracing rules 6.8.2.4 say no passing on the left prior to start finish. As the rules for rolling start are the same as an oval start. so what is the RULE? I just want it known what you can do not a smart **** answer of dumb stuff....

How hard is it to say let us hold the position until after start-finish line?
Just throwing it out there add one little line of text to the PRL rules and be done with it.
Then we are all on the same page because halfway through the series we are still asking the same question.

I will update PRL rules later...

From what I know, on road racing, you can't overtake the position up to you except if the car lack of speed or didn't start. Oval is different rules.

Iracing rules do not differentiate from oval vs road the same start applies to both. Going just from the book and not trying to be **** here just want it clear to all involved here we go on green but maintain position until after start finish does not matter your position p2 vs p35. Iracing says to the right is ok but that is going to vary as we have turns that go rt and left. like Snetterton going to the rt would give advantage vs oval to the left will give an advantage. Now avoidance of a spin on the way to line will need to be ok cause you are avoiding impact. But no laying back and coming to the green with more speed than pace car. That is in the Iracing rules

Hey guys

I do not own Snetterton, and do not intent to buy it.
Next tuesday is Carnival here in Brazil and I'll be out of town, so I'll also skip Glens.
Feel free to drop me out, if some driver needs my spot. Otherwise I'll try to get back in Le Mans (Laguna Seca for sure).

It should just be go on green and don't do anything stupid. Otherwise what would prevent someone from deliberately starting slow to help out teammates ahead.

Hi guys,

Due to a real crazy few days with the market, I've found myself busier than normal, and not enough opportunity to practice Snetterton. Unfortunately, I have chosen to not race this week, and will be back next week for the Glen.

Hi,

Tonight we had a driver that his TS was not set properly and we were hearing him shifting, talking to his teammate...I had to park my car to kick him from the channel, and this ruined my race.

Here is the rule that is in the TS topic:
Once installed, go through the set up wizard for your microphone and make sure you select Push-To-Talk in the Microphone Settings.

Next time, if this happens, I am gong to black flag the driver in default. I won't ruined my race for that again.

That was me and I am very sorry. We assumed it was another driver on our channel as he went silent during the entire race. It turned out his mic was just muted. Had I known it was me I would have shut my trap and been mindful as to how hard I was slamming gears and corrected it at pit stop.

While I cannot make up for your race, I will sponsor the next event as soon as the round information goes up.

Again, I am very sorry for being a tool.

With all the complaining that has happened for the last week I'd like to take a minute to go in a positive direction. I was expecting more on track incidents from this race due to the narrowness of the track but as has been the case most races everyone did a good job of racing hard.

I went back and watched the replay and it looks like Cristian gave Ben a good race this week. I'm sure he was glad to do some actual racing rather than just running around at the front by himself. Looked like it was good fun. Francisco still has better consistency than I do but the pace is close. My self induced errors are still killing me. My last error of the race allowed Erik to pick up his best finish yet so congrats to him for being close enough to pick up that position.

My crew of goons all picked up the pace this week and the lap times and the results of qualifying showed it. It's the closest we have all been together in qualifying since we started running PRL. Again we apologize for Eric's radio snafu and the impact it had on Dany's race. That won't happen again as we will surely shame him for the next week.
